Esther

Well... ONE thing they could do is to start busting even the "Little Guys" who are copying games...

You see people posting ON THESE VERY BOARDS all day long talking about this type of hack or that type of system hack. If the "powers at be" started busting those people, you know that would discourage A LOT of young "Pirates"!!

But, I guess the big companies generally only go after the "big guys" out there bootlegging thousands of copies of games...

Kathleen

I think firmware is best solution to piracy, and instead of including firmware updates in only a few select games like Brawl, Nintendo could make it mandatory for all games, so not updating wouldn't be an option.

Jeanette

In-box bonuses certainly help, but I think the best way to stop piracy in it's tracks, would be in-store game activation. While I question exactly HOW it would work, I have heard that game companies will require that the games be somehow "activated", and that can only happen at the store counter.

However, the companies could spend years to work this out, while hackers could find a workaround in less than a month.
